UX Design

Prioritisation

  • Project Objectives

The main objective is to integrate essential features seamlessly into the hospital management dashboard. Prioritizing features that enhance patient care, streamline administrative tasks, and improve overall hospital efficiency is crucial. By focusing on these goals, the dashboard can effectively meet the needs of healthcare professionals and patients alike, ultimately leading to better healthcare delivery and patient satisfaction.

Information Architecture

The sitemap analysis provided valuable insights into the existing hospital management app. By examining primary, secondary, and tertiary navigation, I identified optimal placements for the new feature. Pages affected by the feature were marked in red for clarity.

User Flow

  • Accessing Appointment Section: Users navigate to the “Appointments” section within the hospital management dashboard to initiate the scheduling process.
  • Selecting Date and Time: Once in the appointment section, users choose their preferred date and time from the calendar interface, enabling them to view available slots and select the most suitable option.
  • Choosing Doctor and Patient: Within the scheduling interface, users are prompted to select the attending doctor from the list of available healthcare providers. Additionally, they specify the patient for whom the appointment is being scheduled.
  • Confirming Appointment Details: Before finalizing the appointment, users review the selected date, time, doctor, and patient information. Any necessary edits are made at this stage to ensure accuracy.
  • Submitting Appointment Request: After confirming all details, users proceed to submit the appointment request. Upon submission, they receive confirmation of the scheduled appointment along with any relevant notifications.
